Organic Food

Organic meals, served under the stars or beside the open log fire

At the close of the day, Nightfall’s unique glamping venue comes alive with new sensory experiences. Pre-dinner drinks are followed by delicious organic meals served under the stars or beside the campfire, a rare and unique dining experience, in a different setting for each meal of the day.

The organic food is prepared by your hosts with a focus on simple flavour combinations and high quality seasonal ingredients.

Your evening meals are cooked in a custom-built wood-fired oven to further enhance your bespoke experience. Nightfall does not offer a menu, instead, guest’s likes and dislikes are taken into account to craft a meal.

Produce is sourced from the Nightfall kitchen garden, wild harvested from Australian bush tucker plants (a bush-tucker orchard has been created in the grounds of Nightfall), the local farms of Scenic Rim and organic markets in Brisbane.

In line with their commitment to organic food and the highest quality ingredients, your hosts set out on the long drive to Brisbane every week to source their ingredients from their fine suppliers such as – Market Organics, Sherwood Rd Organic Meats, Yasabel Cottage Kitchen – Organic Sour Dough.

Whenever possible local produce and ingredients are sourced, such as Christmas Creek Honey and Tommerup’s dairy farm milk-fed veal and butter. One of their best local suppliers is Jaide’s family farm at Tabooba on Christmas Creek, with a large orchard abundant with citrus – a quarter of an acre of creek flats that grow seasonally: pumpkin, sweet corn, potato and garlic. This local sourcing of food is also in line with their “light footprint” philosophy…the least miles as possible between farm and plate!

Nightfall’s personalised approach also means it’s easy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan and those with food allergies. Lunch is another highlight, your backpack picnic allows you to tailor the middle of your day; you can eat when you like, where you like. Many guests take the opportunity to explore neighbouring Lamington National Park, stopping to eat under the Rainforest canopy. For others it’s all about relaxation and lunch is just perfect enjoyed in a beanbag, beside the tumbling creek waters only meters from Nightfall’s guest lounge. Complimentary drinks are also available in the guest lounge.

Each Nightfall luxury glamping tent includes a kitchenette with fridge, stocked with complimentary goodies, sweet and savoury snacks, plunger coffee and a variety of organic teas.
